It's awesome that they brought back the original voice actors, but what a shame. It's by far the worst game in the franchise. It's clunky and boring. They deserved better, but after this I'm not so sure we'll get to see another attempt anytime soon.

La partie animée du trailer me plaît pas vraiment, mais le pixel art du jeu a l'air vraiment clean. Je crois voir que ca ne plait qu'en petite partie aux fans, ce qui est dommage étant donné que ce sont sûrement ceux qui en attendaient le +.

Legacy of Kain: Ascendance is a project brimming with contradictions: ambitious in vision, uneven in execution. The lore is expanded with genuine generosity, the original voice cast is a gift that should not have been taken for granted, and the idea of exploring the era of Imperial Kain through four distinct perspectives remains the most narratively interesting thing the series could have done with a project of this scale. Fans of the mythology will find material worth the wait. But the game around them is imprecise where it should be surgical, slow where it wants to be dynamic, visually uneven in ways that cannot be ignored.

Mola que traigan las voces originales, al menos en inglés, (en español recuerdo a Tomás Rubio y me entran escalofríos) pero creo que no es suficiente para contentar a los fans de la saga

It’s honestly great to see the world of Nosgoth coming back after so many years. The idea of mixing classic Legacy of Kain storytelling with a faster 2D gameplay style sounds interesting, even if it’s a big change from the originals. I just hope it can truly capture the dark atmosphere and deep narrative the series is known for, because that’s what made it special in the first place.

El universo de Nosgoth es respetado y la atmósfera gótica sigue funcionando, pero en lo que se refiere a la jugabilidad, el juego sigue siendo demasiado clásico. Los combates y la plataforma son correctos, pero no aportan nada realmente nuevo: nos encontramos con mecánicas vistas y revisadas, sin verdadera originalidad para destacar. Incluso los jefes y los puzles son predecibles y no ofrecen un desafío memorable. Las referencias a Kain y Raziel son agradables, pero no bastan para compensar un juego que, fuera de su universo, podría ser casi cualquier metroidvania

Je n’avais jamais joué à un jeu Legacy of Kain avant Ascendance, et pourtant j’ai été agréablement surpris. Même sans connaître l’univers ou les anciens personnages, le jeu se prend en main facilement, et on se laisse vite emporter par l’atmosphère sombre et gothique. Les niveaux sont bien construits, avec un bon mélange d’exploration, de plateforme et de combats qui restent fluides et intuitifs. Les mécaniques sont accessibles sans être simplistes, ce qui rend l’expérience plaisante dès les premières minutes. J’ai particulièrement apprécié l’ambiance sonore et visuelle : les décors, les lumières et les musiques créent une vraie immersion. Même si certains passages sont un peu répétitifs, j’ai trouvé le jeu captivant et stimulant. Pour un joueur qui apprécié les metroidvania, c’est un bon point d’entrée à faible cout

Legacy of Kain: Ascendance, c’est une claque surtout au niveau de l’ambiance. Le jeu te balance direct dans un univers sombre et stylé, avec une DA bien marquée qui fait toute la différence. Même si ça a un peu vieilli, les visuels gardent un vrai charme. La bande-son est incroyable aussi, elle te met à fond dans le délire et rend chaque moment plus intense. Et gros kiff sur les boss : design super soigné, chacun a sa personnalité, ça rend les affrontements vraiment cool. Le gameplay est pas forcément le point fort aujourd’hui, c’est un peu rigide, mais clairement ça passe. Tu y vas pour l’ambiance, le style et l’univers, et là-dessus, le jeu fait vraiment le taf
